Hors d'oeuvres and Happy Hour

The well-attended weekly Happy Hour is always a favorite of the residents of Azalea Trails Assisted Living. They have a nice selection of beverages from which to choose and a variety of munchies to please everyone's palate. This also gives them an opportunity to get better-acquainted with their neighbors and develop new, life-long, friendships.

Bedazzled Pine Cones

What to do you get when you combine glitter, puff balls, paint, glue, and shiny gems during activity time at Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care? Bedazzled pine cones. In fact, the residents enjoy 'bedazzling' so much, they are likely to 'bedazzle' anything or anyone who gets too close to them and their glittery supplies!

Every other Friday, our Azalea Trails' Assisted Living "Lunch Bunch' goes to a different restaurant to enjoy good food and fun fellowship. Jenga is a Fun 'Thenga' to Do!

What does it take to create laughter in a crowd? Playing the Jenga Tower game! The residents of Azalea Trails Assissted Living were the 'architects' of their fun when they were introduced to this game. They felt a great sense of accomplishment when they were successful in pulling out a tile and making the tower taller. Most importantly, fellowshipping with each other is the main 'building block' of our fun here!

Sponge Painting a Forest Canopy

Residents of Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care enjoy art activities - especially when it involves painting. Here, one resident puts the finishing touches on her 'sponge painting' of a forest canopy. Dabbling in the creative arts can have multiple benefits for the elderly population, including those with dementia. Art can improve mood and reduce depression and anxiety. It also helps encourage positive connections with each other.
