The Chef at The Waterford at Pantego, Jeffery Stone, was born and raised in Dallas, TX. Jeffery brings with him over 22 years of experience in the hotel, restaurant and senior living industries. Jeffery is culinary certified and has worked along-side Chef Dean Fearing at Dallas’ Mansion on Turtle Creek. This is exciting, as Dean Fearing is known as the “Father of Southwestern Cuisine” as well as the host of a National television show airing on the Food Network.
Jeffery enjoys giving our resident’s the best dining experience with delicious and creative recipes while preparing most of our menu items from scratch!
Our most popular signature items are the barbeque pulled pork sandwich -w- blue cheese slaw and roasted vegetable pasta salad. The pulled pork is seasoned and then slow-cooked for 6 hours until the meat falls apart. We let it set for 10 minutes and then shred with two forks, serve it on a warm Kaiser roll and then garnish with the blue cheese slaw.The roasted vegetable pasta salad is made with fresh cherry tomatoes, asparagus, broccoli, squash and zucchini and is tossed lightly with garlic, shallots, olive oil, salt and pepper. It is then roasted separately as we add the vegetables, pasta, parmesan cheese, fresh cilantro sprigs and Italian dressing.
Another resident favorite is our Sunday Brunch Buffet offering a carving station, a variety of breakfast and lunch items, decorative displays of fresh fruit and a bouquet of flowers made from vegetables.
