Let’s Get Social! Come Along For The Ride On Facebook And Our Blog

"We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." — Maya Angelou

Just like a butterfly, we at Capital Senior Living are preparing for a change — one that allows us to achieve a new level of communication with our residents, families and prospects while helping you (and your loved ones) to spread your wings and engage with us on popular social channels.

It all begins on Facebook, where we will introduce you to a regular staple of information about our communities, team, services and industry in addition to providing fun facts, helpful tips, entertaining tidbits and so much more that you and your loved ones will want to share and engage with. From a simple “Happy 4th of July” reminder or chair yoga tutorials to tips on how to get the most out of Earth Day and featured community spotlights, you will appreciate multiple posts throughout the week that will impact your lives. Some in a big way. Some in a small way. Some will make you smile. Some will make you think.

We’re getting more active so you can be more active! Be sure to “like” our Facebook page — and invite your friends, family members and other loved ones to do the same — so you can get the most out of your time with us.

This consistent new menu of useful information will seamlessly blend with the news we’ve already posted — and you might have missed — about community chefs and renovations, plus previews to our Capital Senior Living blog that offer actions to stay healthy during cold months, ways to honor veterans, cool crafts to promote self-expression and sweet things you can do to pay tribute to the nurses who care for you (or your loved ones) during National Nurses Week coming up in May.

Our blog and website will become an even bigger resource for adult children who are faced with transitioning Mom, Dad or any loved one to Independent Living, Assisted Living or Memory Care. We plan on taking a completely different approach to the blog posts you see here by telling the Capital Senior Living story through the eyes of staff members, family members and residents who represent our brand, philosophies and core values. Less frequent but more powerful storytelling will paint a picture of what life is truly like here — information that future residents (and their families) can use to assess our value.

Even our communities, themselves, have committed to being extra social by posting more frequently about their upcoming events and news. Take, for instance, The Waterford at Corpus Christi in Texas. If you visit its Community Life page, you’ll find a fount of information about upcoming events such as bingo and pizza night, an Arbor Day celebration and Father’s Day lunch. The community news section talks about scheduled grocery store trips and a resident council, and an employee of the month puts the spotlight on one of our many dedicated team members. The Community Newsletter and Calendar are also featured so family members can keep up with what’s happening and find out how to get involved. While each community’s page will reflect its own personality and showcase its own events, you will get a good sense of how we celebrate our residents with special activities, seminars and more throughout the year to bring a sense of togetherness.

When you join our Capital Senior Living family, we provide the continuum of care that you desire and deserve. Part of that responsibility means providing you and your loved ones with the tools you need to stay connected, stay social, stay active. We are excited about pursuing our upcoming initiatives and hope that you will take the time to sit down quietly and enjoy the happiness we’ll share on Facebook, our blog, Community Life pages and website as a whole.

"Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you." — Nathaniel Hawthorne
