Renovated Common Area at Capital Senior Living

San Antonio Senior Living Communities Undergo $1.2 Million in Renovations

San Antonio, TX – Two Independent Living communities in San Antonio, owned by Capital Senior Living Corporation, have undergone expansive renovations at a cost of approximately $1.2 million.

Officials at The Waterford at Thousand Oaks and The Waterford on Huebner worked with designers and artists from Dallas, Texas and Evergreen, CO to bring the outdoors inside with a nature theme that is reflected in all public spaces. New furniture, flooring, window treatments, artwork and accessories were styled with residents’ comfort and enjoyment in mind.

The neutral taupe color that adorns the walls solidifies the projects’ color palette while offering a sense of calmness and richness. Fresh, white trim and pops of pumpkin and gold carried throughout provide warmth and vibrancy so residents can socialize and relax in style. New window coverings prevent glare while maximizing the Texas sun’s radiance for the ultimate in coziness. Carpets were designed for easy roller traffic and feature a sophisticated leaf pattern that complements the colorful artwork that embellishes the walls and halls.

Lisa Chambers of Irving, Texas-based Lisa Photography was commissioned to take photos of brightly colored leaves, flowers and trees. She reproduced the nature shots and printed them on canvas for each community to hang and enjoy. Dennis Rhoades of Colorado also contributed by using water colors and pastels to create colorful nature scenes that were digitalized and printed on canvases.

“As one of the nation’s largest operators of residential communities for senior adults, it is important for us to keep our communities updated for our residents,” said Cindy Filpansick, regional manager overseeing the San Antonio area for Capital Senior Living. “The renovation projects show Capital Senior Living’s commitment to bring a new level of elegance to each community, all designed to enhance the lives of its residents.”

Visitors will see and feel a difference the moment they step foot into the San Antonio Independent Living communities. Reading and relaxing spaces with inviting seating were carved out and boast cozy ottomans and plenty of lamps. TV viewing rooms now have their own special entries and sport beautiful drapery that allows for a steady flow of light yet dampens sound from carrying into other spaces. Residents also appreciate the refinished card, billiard and craft rooms.

The Waterford at Thousand Oaks at 4243 Thousand Oaks and The Waterford on Huebner at 8551 Huebner in San Antonio offer residents world-class Independent Living services and myriad recreational and social opportunities. Apartment homes have modern amenities and spacious floor plans to fit any lifestyle.
