Plano, TX – The Waterford at Plano, an Independent Living and Assisted Living community in Plano, Texas, has completed a renovation project that also tapped into local talent to add a little extra flare.
The senior adult residence, operated by Capital Senior Living Corp., has been completely refreshed with new décor that includes several pieces of artwork done by Lisa Chambers of Irving, Texas-based Lisa Photography. Chambers was commissioned to take photos of brightly colored leaves, flowers, trees and other nature around the Dallas Metroplex that were then reproduced and printed on canvas. Dennis Rhoades of Colorado also contributed by using water colors and pastels to create colorful nature scenes that were digitalized and printed on canvas.
The artwork adds a touch of vibrancy to a neutral, cream-colored scheme in the well-appointed library, lively game room, opulent rotunda, main entrance sitting area and private and main dining rooms.
“These reimagined spaces were designed with our residents’ ultimate comfort and enjoyment in mind,” said Valerie Martindale, regional operations manager of Dallas-based Capital Senior Living. “We are extremely excited and proud to have local photography adorning the walls of this community.”
In addition to all common areas receiving a fresh coat of paint, new furniture in inviting seating groups encourage family members and friends to visit in a warm environment that exudes elegance while encouraging friendly conversation. Spaces for reading and relaxing also boast comfortable seating with ottomans as well as extra lamp lighting so residents can enjoy reading a great mystery or romance novel from the community’s well-stocked library.
New window treatments throughout the community not only enhance public spaces but also provide light control for energy efficiency. The fabrics chosen for new drapes and upholstery highlight the cream, gold, cranberry and forest green colors in the existing carpet. New mirrors, lamps, silk floral arrangements and accessories are among other improvements.
“The remodeling and refurbishing projects at our communities solidify our commitment in ensuring value to our residents and providing quality senior living services at reasonable prices,” Martindale said.
Residents, families, loved ones and city leaders will be able to tour the renovated Plano Independent Living and Assisted Living community at an open house tentatively planned in June.
