Community Life

Crescent Place celebrates its residents with special activities, seminars and more throughout the year that bring our community together. Our community brings residents exciting entertainment and social events, from holiday parties and musicians to supervised cooking activities and exercise classes. Residents also take part in trips to Dallas and Fort Worth or watch films in our private theater. Alzheimer's Association Fundraiser: The Longest Day

On June 21, 2018, the longest day of the year and summer solstice, dozens of people from our community will come together to show their love for those affected by Alzheimer's disease. You can be one of them. Join us Thursday, June 21 for a fun filled day of 'Painting with A Twist' and "Real Deal Bingo' to raise money and awareness to fight Alzheimer's. Throughout May & June, we'll be accepting donations on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association to support research, caregivers and those affected by Alzheimer's. REAL DEAL BINGO!

In our continuing efforts to raise funds for the "Longest Day" Alzheimer's Association campaign, we will host the REAL DEAL BINGO!. Players will thru their donations to the association of $30.00, have multiple bingo cards and chances to win prizes during play. A large number of our residents enjoy bingo and family are encouraged to purchase play for their loved one. Families can also sponsor a bingo table for four at $100. All donations are tax deductible and assist in the fight to end Alzheimer disease.

Paint with a Twist

Indulge your creative side while assisting in the nationwide fund drive for the Alzheimer's Association' "LONGEST DAY" campaign here at Crescent Place. Join staff, residents, family & friends in an interesting "twist" on a trademarked group painting phenomena. The group will be led by our activity director using a novel painting technique with watercolor. The cost per participant is $30.00 materials included.

FOODIE FRIDAYS

Throughout the "LONGEST DAY" Alzheimer's fundraiser will we have had food for sale each Friday. Our last Foodie Friday is June 22. Staff, family & friends of Crescent Place may make pre order Foodie coupon purchases with our receptionist.

FOODIE FUNRAISER FOR ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION

Crescent Place staffers and our dietary dept will offer foods for purchase to benefit our LONGEST DAY fundraising effort. Each Friday until June 22nd, various favorites will be offered. Menu to include KoolAid pickles,Loaded Potatoe, Nachos and desserts. The expectation is staff will eagerly partake of the foodie events and family and friends are welcome to make their purchase to benefit this fundraiser.

ARMED FORCES DAY at CRESCENT PLACE

May 19th is Armed Forces Day and the community is planning a USO themed event this Saturday at 1:30 in our living area. There will be a staple of USO' past canteens ; donuts and a cup of joe. Former servicemen, family and friends will be entertained by the Gaitlins and everyone is welcome!

Patriotic Noon Time Performance

The students of Fair Meadows Elementary Choir will sing a medley of favorite WWI & WWII songs in honor of Armed Forces Day. Teacher, Vee Woodson will have her group of 40+students sing for our community on May 17th

CRESCENT PLACE 2018 MOTHER'S WEEKEND

There are never enough days in a year to celebrate and recognize Mom. The Crescent Place community has planned a weekend long fete for Mothers. Friday afternoon our Happy Hour will be a 'Ladies Only' wine & cheese event. Saturday the Resident Services Director will host a Tea Party following the performance of Paul Baskin, a favorite keyboardist. Sunday during Mother's Day luncheon, crooner Wayne Blanchard will present roses to our ladies. Family and friends are welcome to join us the wknd. of May 11th thru 13th as the community honors it's Moms.

STAFF WELCOME NEWEST RESIDENTS

Crescent Place Exec. Director and staff provided a housewarming luncheon for 9 of our newest community residents and their family members. Our dietary staff served a delicious menu culminating with cheese cake & coffee for dessert.The cohort, composed of 3 married couples & 3 other new residents were presented gifts by our Marketing Director.
