Card Club With Edith

The interest of one resident sparked the interest of many others as we set up our Saturdays to be devoted to card games!
Hand and Foot, Rummy, and more are not only played, but also taught by one of our dear residents. She enjoys sharing her knowledge! Come join in and learn something new today!
You never know...you could find yourself present for the card games every Saturday!

Crosswords & Conversation

We have some very sharp witted residents who love doing crossword puzzles! We all group together in our dining room and solve a crossword puzzle together and then sit and socialize for awhile.
It's always refreshing for our residents who participate!

Men's Lunch

As it may not seem, our residents are primarily ladies. With that being said, we have a special day for the gentlemen in our facility.
Our Men's Lunch is held in our living room. We turn on some old Westerns to watch, serve lunch, and allow the men some time to socialize and get to know one another.

At the beginning of each month, we host a Vitals Clinic for our residents to weigh themselves and get their blood pressures checked.

A Singer, A Chaplain, & A Cowboy - All in One

Tim Martin, a gentleman who was coming to Good Tree monthly to sing for our residents prior to COVID-19, was able to join our parade festivities (with social distancing in mind, of course).
This was exciting for us all, as our residents have always enjoyed when Tim came to sing and play his guitar.

Tim is also a part of Alpha Omega Hospice, which played a major role in aiding us with extra supplies and entertainment for our Spring Parade.
We are all looking forward to normalcy once more, so that we can have Tim Martin back in our building as a regular entertainer and visitor for our residents.

Memory Care Watches the Parade

During the parade, our memory care residents were able to take part, as well. They were all so excited to see all of their families driving by with posters expressing their love for their missed loved ones in our facility.
We are hoping we can reunite our residents with their family visits very soon!

Spring Family Parade 2020

On May 7th, we planned for a surprise parade for our residents that included their family members, our staff, and some other special guests.
So many smiles and laughs from our residents made this day well worth it. We were happy to be able to allow them to see their families that they have been missing so dearly.

Beauty Hour

We have recently made this a "thing" here at Good Tree! We have curled, sprayed, and pampered our ladies.
While it is hard to maintain self esteem during a time like this, this is something we can utilize to help our residents.

Poster Making!

We made posters for our parade for our residents!
With just enough supplies and creativity, we were able to make some good ones!
