Meena Preforms Nepal Bollywood Dance for Residents

At Keepsake Village of Columbus, Activity Director Meena Maharjan not only brings joy to residents live with her fun and engaging activities, she also shares her culture of her native Nepal heritage. Recently, at Keepsake Village's Mother and Others event, Meena shared with everyone a traditional dance referred to as Bollywood Dance. Bollywood is India's Hollywood. The dances in Bollywood can range from slow dancing, to a more upbeat hip hop style dance. The dancing itself is a fusion of all dance forms. It could be Indian classical, Indian folk dance, belly dancing, jazz, hip hop and everything else you can imagine. Meena treated our residents to a demonstration and even wore a traditional dress from Nepal. The residents love Meena, and completely enjoyed her sharing this talent with them!
