Danielle Albert started as Care Partner on February 25, 2009. Since then she has been dedicated to providing quality care for the residents at Walnut Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care. She is not only a team player but goes above and beyond for her teammates and residents. Since the day Danielle began employment at Walnut Creek, she has not missed a day of work. Rain or shine, snow or ice; Danielle has been loyal and dedicated for the last 6 years to her employment and continues to serve our residents with her loving heart. Since I have become Executive Director, I have seen a glow on her face and she always comes to work with a smile on her face and positive attitude. I am blessed to have Danielle as our Senior Care Partner at Walnut Creek. I am honored to present Danielle Albert as the employee spotlight for Walnut Creek for her dedication and loyalty to this Company.

Benji Wellborn moved to South Carolina after a bad hurricane hit Alabama. She came to work at Myrtle Beach Estates as a Caregiver and quickly found her calling in the Memory Care unit.  Her skills and her kindness were sincerely appreciated in that building by the residents and families.  She worked with them with care, compassion and kindness and always tried to get them involved in whatever was going on in the building activity wise. Her boss quickly learned of her great skills and moved her up to Med Tech where she worked for over 2 years every day skillfully and carefully administering the meds to the Memory Care residents.  She loves them and they love her!

Recently when the decision was made that we needed two Activity people to make sure that both buildings had sufficient activities and involvement, Benji applied and was quickly given a promotion.  She does special activities in the am and pm and comes in on the weekend to make sure they have activities to do.  She has a special porch day each Friday where she prepares for them a special afternoon snack and they sit in their rocking chairs enjoying Benji, her incredible love and sense of humor. It warms my heart to see these very special residents smiling and enjoying the wonderful Myrtle Beach Sunshine.  Benji is one in a million-I wish I could clone her. Her love and compassion for the residents is unsurmountable. She has been offered jobs elsewhere but her heart is here with the dear residents of Myrtle Beach Estates.  We are indeed blessed.

Employee Special Achievement

Nicole Lewis Burmeier, Director of Resident Services
Covenant Place of Burleson

Nichole Lewis Burmeier came to work for Capital Senior Living as a resident care team member in November of 2009 at the Covenant Place of Burleson.  She achieved her initial goal and received her LVN in September of 2011 and was promoted as the Director of Resident Services in October 2011. In April of 2015, she completed another career goal by earning her RN degree.  As the Director of Resident Service she has reinforced Capital Senior Living’s mission by her dedication, professionalism and service to the residents for over 5 years.  Nichole strives to aid in the physical, mental and emotional wellness of the residents she serves daily.

Prior to Nichole’s service to the Covenant Place and Capital Senior Living, she proudly served two tours for her country in the US Army where she served as a medic, first responder, assisted in the trauma bay, and as a transporter during her tour in Iraq.  She was selected to serve as part of a Humanitarian Mission during her tour in Afghanistan. 

Nichole is proof that by setting goals and being persistently dedicated, you can be an achiever; she will pursue her BSN in fall of 2015.
