Community Life

The Amberleigh celebrates its residents with special speaker series, summer concerts and more throughout the year that bring our community together. Sunday brunches are always a special treat for our residents, as are the number of social programs that occur seven days a week. Our residents are heavily involved in community outreach “Pay It Forward” programs that support the American Heart Association, Variety Club of Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. New residents are welcomed by our Volunteer Ambassador Program. Residents, family members and friends can keep track of all of our daily, weekly and monthly happenings, find out how to get involved in our activities, see photos from past events and get the latest news from our community by checking here.

Sweetest Day with our Sweet Residents

We are looking forward to our Sweetest Day Celebration, welcoming back Tony Pedulla to entertain us all.
He is a resident favorite who just moved back to Buffalo after living in Florida.
We will enjoy a sweet night with a few sweet surprises along the way.

How Sweet It Is!

The Residents and Staff held a Bake off to benefit the WNY Alzheimers Association that was held at their Food Truck Event in October. First Place went to Ass't Activities Director, Grace Telerico, Second Place to Amberleigh Resident Jo Fiorella, Executive Director, Margaret Kleinmann and Receptionist, Christine Fulford. Third place was won by Sales and Marketing Director, Beth Hulbert. . How sweet it is to "Pay It Forward" and raise more than $300.00 for this very worthy organization.

Celebrating the Harvest

We are thankful for Temple Shir Shalom coming to Amberleigh and setting up our Sukkah.
With the help of our residents, we enjoyed the beautiful October weather outside decorating it.

Columbus Day Project

We thought the best way to celebrate Columbus Day was to help show our support of our Veterans.
We spent the morning writing out holiday cards for our Veterans that we will be sending in time for the holiday season.

Joining in the Fight to Help Find a Cure for Breast Cancer

The atrium was a sea of Pink as the residents and staff wore pink and denim to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness throughout the month of October. Everyone was asked to contribute $5.00 at this gathering for donation to Roswell Park Breast Cancer Research. Special tribute was paid to all those in our midst who are breast cancer survivors.

Party Of Nine Rocks WNY Alzheimers Food Truck Event

One WNY Hottest Bands - Party of Nine - performed during the WNY Alzheimber's Food Truck Event held on campus October 2nd. The residents enjoyed the music along with the Food Truck cuisine provided by; Chef's, Lloyd's, Anderson's, The Healthy Scratch and Sweet Melody's. The weather was superb and the entertainment rocked all night long!

Amberleigh Celebrates One Year Anniversary of New Wing

Amberleigh Residents, Guests and Staff celebrated the One Year Anniversary of the grand opening of their new Assisted Living and Memory Care residences on October 3rd. Guests were treated to a champagne toast and refreshments and a heartfelt thank you from Executive Director, Margaret Kleinmann, who expressed her appreciation to the staff and family members for making this such an incredible milestone to celebrate.
