Community Life

The Amberleigh celebrates its residents with special speaker series, summer concerts and more throughout the year that bring our community together. Sunday brunches are always a special treat for our residents, as are the number of social programs that occur seven days a week. Our residents are heavily involved in community outreach “Pay It Forward” programs that support the American Heart Association, Variety Club of Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. New residents are welcomed by our Volunteer Ambassador Program. Residents, family members and friends can keep track of all of our daily, weekly and monthly happenings, find out how to get involved in our activities, see photos from past events and get the latest news from our community by checking here.

Amberleigh Learning Academy

Congressman John J. LaFalce was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1974, and served successive terms for his Western New York district until 2003. We heard the Congressman's first-hand account and personal perspectives on Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Regan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. It was an honor to have him here and listen to his amazing stories.

Bringing Generations Together Through Music

A new weekly music-making experience is now being offered at our community!  Capital Senior Living is bringing Music Together®, an international early childhood music organization, and one of its popular music classes for young children to Charlotte Square. The Generations class is a 45-minute music experience where a teacher leads the group in song, musical games and activities.  Children, newborn to age 5, their caregivers and our residents come together for music-making experiences designed to build relationships across generations and bring joy to your soul.

Classes are every Tuesday at 10:30am.  For more information on Music Together, visit the website below.

Dyngus Day Amberleigh Style

Buffalo, NY is officially the Dyngus Day capitol of America, hosting the largest concentration of festival locations, polka bands and Polish traditions in the nation.
We had our own Dyngus Day celebration with Krupnik, Pierogies, polish sausage, Pussywillows & squirt guns. We enjoyed learning about all the Polish Buffalo traditions.
