Illinois State Police District 10 Visits

Illinois State Police X-2 and X-S-1 met with retired '12-12' Illinois State Police Corporal Willis today at The Waterford at Bridle Brook! Willis served the ISP from January 3, 1950 until the end of 1979. He will celebrate his 90th birthday next month. Corporal Willis got a tour of the new squad cars and all of their equipment! He was most fascinated with the speed detection devices, thermal printers, and in-car camera and microphones. X-2 gave him a patch and a District 10 Challenge Coin. They talked about training, stories from patrol days, and the differences in our department from 1950 until now. He even let ISP District 10 borrow his ISP yearbook from 1922-1972 for the rest of the Troopers to look through at post.

Cpl Willis says, "You have no idea how happy this makes me for you two to come visit me and show me your squads!"

ISP, "Sir, you have made our day by visiting with us! Thank you for your 30 years of service to the citizens of Illinois."

Thank you retired Cpl Willis for your service to the citizens of Illinois!
