ZUMBA GOLD!

Come Zumba with us! What is Zumba Gold you ask? Zumba Gold is based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba class. The Gold class, however, is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners and older adults who may have limited capabilities. Zumba Gold is very popular with our residents (and community members too)! Come see if you can keep up with us! OPEN to the PUBLIC.

18TH ANNUAL SANGAMON RIVER MUSIC FESTIVAL

The 18th annual Sangamon River Music Festival will be taking place in downtown Mahomet, IL on August 26 & 27th. Over 10,000 people flow throw the community to enjoy musical entertainment, street vendors, food and rides. Each year, The Waterford at Bridle Brook, supports the festival by participating in the festivities. Our residents thoroughly enjoy the Saturday morning parade, where they get to ride on our community bus and throw candy out to all the children along the parade route. Each year, this parade brings so much joy to our residents as they enjoy the smiles and excitement that witness of the children eager to get treats. In addition to the parade, the residents also work on special handmade crafts throughout the year, that are featured at a street vendor booth the weekend of the festival. Proceeds from our residents crafts go to support the Alzheimer’s Association and activity fund at The Waterford at Bridle Brook. We encourage you to take some time over the festival weekend to either watch the parade or stop by the booth.
