Chef's Corner- Resident Feedback Meeting

Cathy Anthony comes to us with a wealth of over 30-year's experience in Dietary Management. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Houston and an Associates Degree from San Jacinto College in Dietary Technology. Cathy lives in Pasadena with her husband, Tom, who spends his free time selflessly volunteering at The Waterford. Their three children, Brandon, Jeremy and Heather are all married and have blessed their parents with 14 wonderful grand kids. When Cathy is not busy preparing culinary delights in The Waterford kitchen, she spends time attending Deer Park First Baptist Church. She is excited to be The Waterford's Dietary Manager. On August 7th, we will have a resident feedback meeting for any questions or concerns you may have. Join us at 2PM in the Bluebonnet Room.

The Waterford at Deer Park Recognized by The Alzheimer's Association

For the work that The Waterford Deer Park team completed with The Longest Day program, our staff was awarded recognition by the Alzheimer's Association's local representative, Samantha Duffy. The Waterford at Deer Park was one of 129 properties in the Capital Senior Living family that was helping with this wonderful cause. We are proud to say, even with our doors closed at the time, we raised the 2nd largest contribution, company-wide out of 129. A huge thank you go out to all our family, friends and supporters as we pooled together our resources, put on a wonderful event, and raised a generous amount of money to help in the fight versus Alzheimer's!

The Waterford at Deer Park Thanks Hometown Heroes

On Wednesday, May 23rd, The Waterford welcomed our hometown heroes for our annual, First Responders Breakfast.
Our Deer Park Police and Fire Department came by for a morning that was filled biscuits and gravy, hash browns, kolaches, donuts, monkey bread and even shakshuka.
Pictured here is our DPPD enjoying a laugh over their hot breakfast.
To all of our First Responders, The Waterford at Deer Park says THANK YOU!

Waterford Sales Director Serenades Senior Olympians

Last Friday, May 11th, The Waterford At Deer Park took part in the 2018 East Harris County Senior Olympics. Our team had volunteers for such events as the Bake-Off, Basketball, and Spelling Bee. But before closing ceremonies, our own Sales Director, John Villarreal serenaded the audience with two classic songs, first it was "I Started A Joke" by The Bee Gees and then onto "Spanish Eyes" by Al Martino. When asked about getting to perform for this large an audience, Villarreal responded simply by saying, "I love my job!"

You'll get to catch John, as well as many others from The Waterford performing Karaoke on June 21st, as we take the fight to Alzheimer's for The Longest Day! Tickets to that event, which includes a steak dinner start at $30 each.
