Fit Folk at The Waterford

Take a look at this great-looking group!
Every weekday morning at 9:00am, these dedicated residents enjoy daily exercise classes led by our own Activities Director, Sarah. She teaches a mostly seated and well balanced class. Her class size has really grown and we love how supportive our residents are with one another! Yoga classes and a weekly exercise class by Genesis Rehab Services are also offered on the activities schedule. Come check out the healthy lifestyle our residents enjoy here at the Waterford. :)

Silent Hero Award Presentation

The Waterford is proud to announce that one of our employees has received the very special Silent Hero Award. Missouri senator Bob Dixon presented our transportation driver, Miles Yocom, with this great honor. Time and time again, Miles has gone above and beyond the boundaries of his position to assist residents and those in need. He is always exceptionally patient, kind and helpful to everyone he comes across, and notably uses even his own personal time to be of service to others. One of our residents, Ralph, recognized the great work Miles puts in each day and enlisted the aid of his longtime friend, senator Dixon, to help us honor Miles and show him the appreciation he deserves. We couldn't think of a better recipient for this prestigious award! Congratulations to Miles for a job very well done!!

Our Talented Chef...

We still don't know how we got so lucky, nabbing such a talented chef for our community! In the photo, you can see our chef Aaron Brooks (left) on a local news segment, highlighting his dishes for annual local foodie event, Baconfest. This was before he came to us, back in 2016, but like a good wine or cheese, his cooking talents have only gotten better with time. He has a great range of skills and creativity that we benefit from and enjoy daily here at the Waterford. Come and taste the difference yourself!
