Help Spead the Joy! Donate iPOD Shuffle TODAY!

Spread the Joy and Give New Life to Someone You LOVE!

No one wants to be isolated in a senior care setting. When there is someone that we love living in a senior care setting it becomes hard enough to lose them to Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. There is hope and you can help to spread the JOY! But there’s reason to hope for a better life as we age. Music allows those who suffer from a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges to find renewed meaning and connection in their lives though the gift of a personalized play list.

We are collecting iPod Shuffles that are collecting dust or sitting in a junk drawer at your home. The shuffles will be used to create a personalized play list for a resident and help assist to bring meaning and joy in their life!

If you are interested in donating a shuffle or iTunes please contact: Jen Thompson, MHA CDP CDCM

Pet Therpay - A Paws-sitve Influence

Join us for a little pet therapy. If you have ever had a pet you know the special joy that they can bring to your life. Did you know that interacting with animals can improve your health and longevity? More and more studies are proving the effects of pet therapy especially on the senior population. Interacting with pets can decrease blood pressure, encourage exercise and reduce anxiety for depression. For people who like to interact with animals but cannot care for one, we have a great opportunity to bring in pets for regular visits.

Resident enjoys sharing his passion

In our communities we encourage our residents to share their talents. John shares his tremendous ability to play the mouth organ (as he calls it) on a regular basis. We are so lucky to have such a talented group of individuals.
