Texas Winds at the Wellingnton!

Please join us on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:30am. Be our guest for breakfast and stay for this special performance.

We are honored to have Paul Demer, Singer and Songwriter with the Texas Winds. The Texas Winds are a one of a kind organization and have been going strong for over 32 years!

In 1985 Catherine Barr and members of her woodwind quintet discovered a new audience in a Dallas nursing home. The musicians’ desire to perform matched the residents’ need for human interaction. Music made a difference in the lives of players and listeners alike, nurturing their spirits and awakening the potential for sharing love and compassion in a unique setting.

Since that time, Texas Winds has expanded its outreach to all Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton County nursing homes, as well as hospitals and Head Start Centers. Beyond North Texas, Texas Winds provided the model for Music Outreach Collaborative, in Cleveland, Ohio. We continue to encourage and mentor other start-ups: recently in New York and Iowa.
Texas Winds programs have grown annually from 11 concerts in 1985 to 1,734 concerts in our 32nd year!

Their Vision.....
Texas Winds Musical Outreach engages, comforts and celebrates the spirits of isolated seniors, hospital patients, veterans and children in North Texas through live, professional musical performances.
Music contributes to a society:
•Where seniors are vibrant and engaged because they are valued and respected by a community involved in their lives.
•Where hospital patients, veterans, and their families are comforted and uplifted during difficult and challenging times.
•Where children are confident and creative and are ready to embrace a future of unlimited possibilities.

Please call us at (469) 330-2800 and we will reserve your spot for breakfast and or for the concert.
