Alzheimer’s Association Fundraiser: The Longest Day

On June 21, 2018, the longest day of the year and summer solstice, dozens of people from our community will come together to show their love for those affected by Alzheimer's disease. You can be one of them. Join us on Thursday, June 21 for a fun-filled day of activities to raise money and awareness to fight Alzheimer’s. We'll devote the day to doing what we love — Games — to fight Alzheimer's.

You can support research, caregivers and those affected by Alzheimer’s, by attending our Longest Day event and by donating online to the Alzheimer’s Association at our fundraising page in the link below.

Reminder Longest Day

Just a reminder that Windcrest will be participating in the Longest Day. We will be having games all day long, and will end with Bingo at 2pm. Come on out and join the fun!!

Windcrest Porch Sale

Windcrest will be having a porch sale on May 17th and 18th from 9am-5pm, and on Saturday, May 19th from 9am-12:30pm. All proceeds will go for additional summer activities for the residents. If you would like to donate items for the sale, please price them and bring to Windcrest on May 16th.

Windcrest Father's Day Car show and Shine

Windcrest had its annual Show and Shine on Thursday, June 14th. It was very hot that evening, but that didn't stop the cars from coming.

Kentucky Derby Hat Day

In honor of the Kentucky Derby, residents decorated floppy hats for the occasion.

Senior-Senior Prom

Windcrest along with Pius High School Student Counsel held their Prom on Sunday, April 15th. The students as well as a few residents got up and danced. The crowning of the King and Queen was held, the King; Duane W. and Queen Evelyn V. were very surprised. A great time was had by all that were in attendance.

Travel Series

Join us on our travel series. Today we traveled to South Dakota. Charles P. took us on a trip back to the old mining days where there was gold up in them there hills! All the way across the state to Sturgis, Mount Rushmore and Deadwood. Next month we will be traveling to Yellowstone. Come along as we visit Yellowstone. If you have any information to add to our collection feel free to do so.

Sandhills Crane Van Trip

Windcrest residents loaded up the van on Monday, March 12th for a trip out to see the Sandhill Crane's. It was very fascinating watching the birds in the fields.
