"Music of Our Lives and Times" Sign-up Today

A new class presented by SBCC. "Music of Our Lives and Times" with Professor, Susan Gomez.
My class is a retrospective of music from the 20th Century focusing primarily on the music residents are most familiar. Music starting in the 40’s, some 30’s (what our parents were listening to on the radio), and artists like Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and others. Then we’ll move into the 50’s with Elvis, Connie Francis, Doo-wop, etc. I use original recordings whenever possible. I’ll bring my karaoke machine to entertain, show musicals from the 40’s and 50’s, give a little biography of each artist we explore and will introduce a history blurb to set the stage. Lastly, I will have an impromptu game of “Name That Tune. Join the FUN every Thursday at 3:45 p.m. Family and friends are invited to sign-up for this class.
