The Villa's Mens Social Club

Yes, that's right, the Villa gentlemen have started a "Villa Men's Social Club." They meet once per month, on the First Tuesday of every month. We have several residents; lots of new topics! These men will discuss everything from Pool games to World War II. Make some new friends and engage them with your interesting stories! Please join us every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. On the FIRST FLOOR, Dining Room.

A Scheduled Illustrated Art Presentation

The Docent Council, Santa Barbara Museum of Arts is scheduled to visit the Villa ONCE PER MONTH, beginning on Friday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. Speaker will present "Artistic Visions of Growing America" part I. Friday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m. Part II and Friday, June 7th. at 1:00 p.m. Part III.

We are so excited to begin this monthly program with the SB Arts Museum. The Community Speakers Program features lectures written and delivered by docents. The art lectures are one hour of Art related presentations given to community organizations on a variety of topics pertaining to the museum's special exhibitions and collections. SBMA docents have a longstanding tradition of excellence and education, imparting both enthusiasm and expertise in their presentations. As ambassadors to the public, the docents believe in the power of art to ignite imagination, stimulate thought, and generate personally rewarding experiences.

Whale Watching Sign-up

Last chance to Sign-Up for a Whale Watching Cruise:

Did you know the waters surrounding the Channel Islands National Park are home to many diverse and beautiful species of Whales, Dolphins, and Porpoises? The Villa Santa Barbara Playground IS the Ocean and we take full advantage of watching the Whales pass through the Channel Islands from December through mid-April. About one third of the species found worldwide can be seen right here in our own backyard. The 27 species sighted in the channel include Gray, Blue, Humpback, Minke, Sperm, and Pilot Whales; Orcas; Dall's Porpoise and Risso's, Pacific White-sided, Common, and Bottlenose Dolphins. We've got it "ALL." Sign-up now for a future trip in January. Date to be determined by participation.
