Springtime craft

It's so hard to believe Tuesday was the first day of Spring and Easter is right around the corner. Dixie, my Business Manager, showed me a craft that would be cute for Easter so that's what we started on today. We began by painting our terra cotta pots with blue and yellow pastel colors; then added green Easter grass into the pots, and finally we stuck our bunny face down in the pots like he was eating the grass. I also had some artificial leaves we added for just a little extra drama.

Rummy Time

Several ladies got together this morning to play a game of rummy in our common area. When I started this game a couple of months ago there was only two residents participating, now I have five. I love to see their competitive spirits surface but at the same time they help each other out.

Cheddar's for lunch

A few of us decided to tackle the pretty day (despite the wind) and have lunch at Cheddar's. This is a marvelous restaurant with great service and even greater food. One of the residents ordered a Fudge Brownie and it was enormous! To say the least she asked for a to-go box.

One of the more requested games by our residents is "Minute To Win It." This one is called Build The Tower and consists of stacking red solo cups 3 levels high (harder one is 4 levels high), then see how fast you can take it down. This participant is Marie H., and the onlooker is Zelma. Everyone has a blast cheering each player on to victory!
