Waterford at Plymouth Becomes "Dementia Friendly"

On June 25th our staff will take part in the training necessary to become a part of the "Dementia Friendly" initiative. What does this mean? Our staff will take part in the extra training needed to proudly display the world wide symbol for dementia friendly, the purple angel. Our staff, from the cleaning crew to the maintenance department, will be able to recognize the early signs of dementia, will be able to communicate effectively with people living with dementia, and know how to refer resources to those in need. We belive this will be beneficial not only to our residents as their needs change, but also to help those in public as we live our daily lives.
Follow the link for more information and to find out how other businesses can become part of this very important community driven initiative.

An officer from the Plymouth Police Department will be here to go through a presentation for the public. Please RSVP so we can be sure to expect you. 892.4635
