Celebrating 90-Years, and Still Counting!

It was all smiles for one of our Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care residents as she celebrated her 90th birthday with a cupcake and ice cream party. She really enjoyed her miniature cake and all the well-wishes from family and friends. Some of her friends even held a Zoom meeting so they could visit in a virtual setting. We wish you many more wonderful years of health and friendship!

Whacky Wednesday Was Whopping Fun

To help maintain high spirits during this challenging time in our community, Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care is hosting Themed-Wednesday events, including serving a ‘Resident Choice’ meal. Our first such event was, “Whacky Wednesday.” On this day, we hosted a hamburger/hot dog cookout with all the trimmings and encouraged our staff and residents to wear ‘wacky’ clothes. Our ladies wore ‘fancy’ church hats and our men wore flat caps – all provided by our Activity Director. Thanks, Shae, for helping to make this day special for everyone!

Celebrating 100 Years with a 'Window Party'

One of our Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care residents recently celebrated his 100th birthday. Wow! In honor of this 'milestone birthday,' we hosted an elaborate birthday party in his honor. While his family and friends had to maintain 'social distancing' during this time, they were able to celebrate with us through our front porch window - communicating with gestures, cell phones, and loud congratulations. In this photo, he is looking out the window at his friends and family, enjoying the grand attention they are bestowing upon him. We wish you many more happy years!

The March for Snow Cones

On a recent afternoon, the residents and staff of Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care enjoyed snow cones on the courtyard patio. It was a refreshing treat that cooled us all off on an unusually warm March day.
