Making Spirits Bright

There is no greater joy than hearing the songs of the Holiday Season and residents in our Memory Care Neighborhood had a wonderful afternoon when the Girl Scouts from St. Michaels the Archangel Church in Canton, came by to entertain our residents. The children walked the entire Memory Care and Assisted Living neighborhoods and sang to each resident. They politely knocked on every resident's door and if they couldn't come to their door, the group went into their room to personally sing a few songs for our residents. What great joy this brought to our residents and really helped to make their Spirits Bright!

Honoring Those That Have Served

We had the honor of saluting our Veterans at a special Pancake Breakfast hosted on Saturday, November 10th from 10 am - 12 noon. Veterans who live in our community, as well as Veterans of all ages and who served in all conflicts, were invited to this very special event. A local VFW Post presented the colors to kick of the festivities and a retired Marine gave the invocation before the breakfast buffet was opened. Live entertainment was also provided with all music pertaining to a patriotic theme. All veterans in attendance were pinned with an American Flag pin that was coordinated through the Stark County Veterans Services Commission, who were also on hand to provide information to all in attendance regarding Veterans services available to them. All Veterans who live at Canton Regency also have a plaque with their photo, years of service and branch served, prominently displayed in the neighborhood for which they reside.

Tea and Talk

Nothing is more enjoyable than a warm cup of Hot Tea and a group of friends to share a smile and conversation with. Our Tea and Talk moment is one that is cherished by all residents who live at our community. Residents from every area of our building including; Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care have a Tea and Talk session in their respective neighborhood every month. The residents get an update on all of the upcoming events that are happening within the community and also talk about current events that are of interest to the group. These gatherings are just another way that life at Canton Regency is up close and personal each and every day.
