Francine’s Friend Mobile Mammography is Coming

When it comes to breast cancer, the best protection is early detection! That is why on Friday, February 28 from 9am to 3pm, Georgetowne Place will host Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography. The coach has even had the new 3D Tomo mammography installed, the latest in mammography technology! We want to support our community by helping drive down the number of breast cancer cases right here in Fort Wayne. To make your appointment you may contact Parkview at 260-483-1847 ext. 26540.

On Valentine's Day, February 14, we have a wonderful evening planned for our residents. Dinner reservations can be made for 4 pm and 5:15 pm. Before you enjoy a lovely dinner and live music, stop on the second floor for pictures! All residents must RSVP yes or no. Hope to see you there.

Positive Consumer Ratings Led to Industry-Leading Distinction from

FORT WAYNE, Ind. … December 17, 2019 … Georgetowne Place, a Capital Senior Living independent, assisted living and memory care community, announced today it has been named a "Caring Star of 2020” for service excellence in senior living. In consumer ratings and reviews on, Georgetowne Place, located at 1717 Maplecrest Road in Fort Wayne, Ind., earned a five-star rating (the highest possible score) within the qualification time frame, while also having a high volume of positive reviews and meeting other criteria for this national honor. Georgetowne Place is among 149 Caring Stars communities named across the country for 2020.

Online reviews help Americans research and select the best senior care providers for aging or ailing loved ones. In multiple research studies, the majority of family caregivers have indicated that they turn to the Internet and consumer reviews when narrowing their options among senior living communities in their area, and have relied on these perspectives as much as or more so than in-person recommendations from geriatric professionals or medical personnel.

To be considered for the award, Caring Stars communities met a set of criteria based on ratings and reviews from senior living residents and their family members. senior care experts also conducted a reviews-integrity audit and took other quality-assurance measures before determining the Caring Stars of 2020.

Walk to End Alzheimer's Sucess

Last month, you may have participated in our bake sale, chili cook-off and raffle. All of those fundraiser's went towards our goal of $1,500 to raise for the Alzheimer's Association, Walk to End Alzheimer's Team, on October 5. With the help of residents, families, friends and staff we were able to raise $2,269.41, far surpassing our goal!! Thank you to all who participated!
