Walking Club

Once a walker always a walker! It's a chance to get exercise and fresh air. Residents Helen, Mary and Linda are our dedicated team. It makes them very happy and they have become good friends. When the weather doesn't permit they walk in the building and try to encourage others.

Window Visits

One of our many activities through out this ordeal is for families and friends to be able to visit via a window at Santa Fe Trails!
Helen and her daughter, Kathy, are enjoying a window conversation and finding JOY with her daughter's dog "Opal"

Window Visits

Billy and his daughter, Nancy, have a 'meet and greet' at Santa Fe Trails!
This is one of the many ways that families keep in touch during the pandemic.
We make it a priority here at Santa Fe to protect our residents as much as we can!

Exceptional Experience with this Main. Director

Rusty, has been ‘the’ Main Director of Santa Fe Trails since 2012! Rusty knows the building inside and out, literary.

His vast years of experience are truly a benefit to the community. Rusty not only works on every aspect of the building when needed, but enjoys the daily interaction with our residents.
Raised to respect our elders, Rusty is the first one to open a door, give a kind hello and chuckle with our people on a joke of the day. Executive Director, Cindi Abbott explains “Rusty is automatic, he makes me laugh as every day he walks into Santa Fe with several to do lists handed to him and he always gets them all completed, in a timely manner. It’s not easy keeping everyone happy but he manages it very well.” Rusty is not only our Main Director but also assists with transportation in our Capital Senior van, taking residents to the beauty shop and local doctor appointments. Santa Fe Trails is certainly a better place due to Rustys confidence as the ‘fixer ‘of all things !

Promotions follow this Business Director

Caitlin has been promoted twice since being employed at Santa Fe Trails. She first started in July of 2017 as a part time cook in our Dietary Department. After a long time, Dietary Manager resigned, Caitlin was interested in acquiring more responsibility and was soon promoted to Dietary Director in March of 2018. When the Business Director opened up in October of 2018, Caitlin was soon considered by Cindi Abbott, Executive Director. “Caitlin’s ability to learn new tasks and competent with computer skills along with knowledge of different systems, was key in our conversation about becoming the new Business Director” Abbott explains. “I really enjoy being around this generation, their stores are interesting to listen to. As the Business Director, I definitely have contact with not only the residents but their families, it has definitely made a positive impact on my life.”
