Alzheimer's Association Fundraiser: The Longest Day

On June 21, 2018, the longest day of the year and summer solstice, dozens of people from our community will come together to show their love for those affected by Alzheimer's disease. You can be one of them! Join us Thursday, June 21 starting at 10:00 a.m. for a fun-filled monster bake sale to raise money and awareness to fight Alzheimer’s. We also have a donation station jar at our front desk that has already started to collect funds for the Alzheimer's Association.

Throughout May and June, we’ll be accepting donations on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association to support research, caregivers and those affected by Alzheimer’s. To join the fight, you can write a check to the Alzheimer's Association and turn it in at our front desk. Also, you can donate online at The Longest Day. Click on donate and then find a team. Then you will type in The Waterford at Fort Worth. We look forward to seeing you on June 21!

Questions about how you or your organization can get involved? Contact Mary Evans, Cathy Porter or Scott Walker at 817-263-6477 We will be accepting donated bake sale items starting Monday, June 18th. Thanks again for your support of The Alzheimer's Association and The Waterford at Fort Worth.

Hangin' With The Stars!

In the galaxy, that is. Our trip to the Planetarium was a treat for all of us. The show was amazing and left us wishing for a little bit more. UTA has a wonderful Planetarium and we all gave it a big "thumbs up"!

Quod Balensi

We were privileged to welcome and enjoy the beautiful singing voices and amazing harmonies of Quod Balensi. The group consists of four college music majors singing Renaissance Polyphony, a style of music that weaves melodic lines and is one of the defining features of Renaissance music.

Bringing Generations Together Through Music

A new weekly music-making experience is now being offered at our community!  Capital Senior Living is bringing Music Together®, an international early childhood music organization, and one of its popular music classes for young children to The Waterford at Fort Worth. The Generations class is a 45-minute music experience where a teacher leads the group in song, musical games and activities.  Children, newborn to age 5, their caregivers and our residents come together for music-making experiences designed to build relationships across generations and bring joy to your soul.

Classes are every Monday at 10:00am.  For more information on Music Together, visit the website below.
