Bringing Generations Together Through Music

A new weekly music-making experience is now being offered at our community!  Capital Senior Living is bringing Music Together®, an international early childhood music organization, and one of its popular music classes for young children to Charlotte Square. The Generations class is a 45-minute music experience where a teacher leads the group in song, musical games and activities.  Children, newborn to age 5, their caregivers and our residents come together for music-making experiences designed to build relationships across generations and bring joy to your soul.

Classes are every Tuesday at 10:30am.  For more information on Music Together, visit the website below.

Bloom Where You are Planted Spring Fling

The Waterford at Plano was transformed into a beautiful garden Friday for our 2018 Spring Fling family night. Our theme was Bloom Where You are Planted and there were blooms everywhere! Two buffets were set up and our families enjoyed stuffed baked potatoes, pasta salad, green pea salad, and Fancy Sprites for desert. Our musical entertainment was an amazing saxophone player and the sounds of jazz could be heard throughout the community. It was wonderful to see many family members of our residents!

Plano Lions Club Donates Books to Library

The Plano Early Lions Club recently adopted The Waterford at Plano Assisted Living library, agreeing to donate new books to keep our residents engaged and content. What a wonderful surprise when the Lions Club arrived with over 500 new books to donate to our residents! We feel blessed to have the Plano Early Lions Club as a supporter for our residents and our library.

Dorris Lews, Director of the Plano Early Lions Club and Dora Harrington, 3rd Vice President, joined us for a ribbon cutting and resident greeting. Many of the residents were seeing the revamped library for the first time and could not contain their excitement. This will be a treasure for many years to come. The smiles on the faces of our residents is priceless and would not have happened without the Plano Lions Club!

Thank you, Wyatt Elementary!

We are so grateful for the 100 students from Wyatt Elementary that sang a few holiday songs for us! The children even interacted with our residents by passing out cards and candy after the performance. Wyatt Elementary is one of our favorite regular visitors and we appreciate the holiday spirit they bring with them!
