Community Life

The Wellington at Arapaho celebrates its residents with special activities, seminars and more throughout the year that bring our community together. Our knitting club makes blankets and caps for babies born at the county hospital. Residents also keep busy with happy hours, musical entertainment, resident council, history lecture series, book reviews, trivia and Vespers services. Residents, family members and friends can keep track of all of our daily, weekly and monthly happenings, find out how to get involved in our activities, see photos from past events and get the latest news from our community by checking here.

Staight from Brooklyn, NY, Tony Pasacando is back!

Be our guest Friday, May 31, for an enjoyable afternoon with Tony Pasacando! The show starts at 3:00pm.Tony is one of Dallas most sought out singer, so get ready to snap your fingers and move your feet to some of the great tunes of your favorite singers the big Band sound of the '40's, Fifties ad Sixties! Tony will also charm you with his renditions of all the great classics from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole and more.

Paul Anderson is back, by popular demand!

The Wellington was proud to have Paul Anderson, Bass-Baritone, Tenor and Entertainer back on Friday, April 26, at 3:00pm! He is an experienced vocalist with a wide-ranging performance background.Not only does he sing, but he has also written, produced and performed a one-man show in which he portrayed important American historical characters and performed up and down the east coast of the United States. Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Broadway show tunes, jazz standards - they're all there in a full hour of singing excellence. Stay for happy hour at 4:00pm and be our guest for dinner at 5:00pm! Dr. Jessica Williams

Join Dr. Jessica Williams, Audiologist on Wednesday, April 24 at 1:30pm for a complementary Hearing Screening, and answers to your questions. She will bring the latest information on different topics and at the screening, She will check and clean your hearing aids as well as checking your batteries to make sure they are good and working properly. Dave Wasburn is back at the Wellington!

If you missed Dave Washburn's past performances, please don't miss out again. He will be here on Friday, April 19 at 3:00pm, and you are invited. From Bourbon Street with the Best Sounds of New Orleans... Jazz and Blues, to the mellow sounds of Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and the list goes on. Get ready to swing to his big band sound of Glenn Miller's Chattanooga Choo- Choo, Pennsylvania 6-5000, and Moonlight Serenade to Benny Goodman's Alexander's Ragtime Band! But his talent does not stop there. In addition to his vocal talent, he is a very gifted saxophonist, clarinet player as well as a Banjo player!.
