Rummy anyone?

We have a great group of ladies that look forward to Monday afternoons and a rip-roaring game of Rummy. It is hilarious to hear them bicker back and forth on whose turn it is and did they discard or pic-up!

Galvin's Dinner House

Today the snow has stopped; the temperature is above -0, and the sun is out, run, run Vintage Gardens South residents!!! We decided to have lunch at Galvins, which is one of our favorite restaurants in St. Joseph. The service is incomparable and the food delicious. Their specialty is Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and the best seasoned corn you have ever put in your mouth..YUM! We had a great time.

Piano music

We have a resident in our Memory Care that can really play the piano. A couple of staff members moved a piano to that area of the facility and she entertains the other residents with her music. Loretta plays by ear and it is amazing how many songs she can play.

Country Music

We had a return visit last Friday by our resident's favorite singer, Jerry Huffman. He was with a group of Country Western singers that sang professional in our surrounding area. Some of the songs he sang were; I Walk Alone, Take Me Home Country Road, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, Happy Trails, and many more. Actually, before he left our facility some of my residents were requesting him back.
