Deck The Halls

This Christmas, The Waterford At Dillon Pointe decided to ask for Hospice assistance in a different way. Typically various Hospice groups donates and decorates Christmas trees for the community. This year we have asked those groups, along with local businesses to donate Christmas wreaths instead. We will be decking the halls with the donated wreaths and having a silent auction for the wreaths with all proceeds to benefit the National Alzheimer's Association. We will be providing beverages, light hor d'eouves, and entertainment. Not to mention a visit by Santa and his elves.

Senior Tai Chi

For Active Seniors this month, we had a Fitness Coordinator visit and teach us how to do Tai Chi. The residents stretched and moved in ways we have not seen. They stated the slow movements and breathing techniques was very simple and easy on their joints. The new exercise was enjoyed so much that the residents are requesting to incorporate some of these movements into our daily regiment.
