Community Life

The Waterford at Oakwood celebrates its residents with special activities, seminars and more throughout the year that bring our community together. Offsite outings to nearby Oakwood attractions are especially popular events. Bible studies, wellness lectures, support groups and seminars are among other highlights within our community. Alzheimer’s Association Fundraiser: The Longest Day

On June 21, 2018, the longest day of the year and summer solstice, employees from our Waterford at Oakwood community will come together to show their love for those affected by Alzheimer's disease. Please join us Thursday, June 21 for a bake sale at the community to raise money and awareness to fight Alzheimer’s.

Throughout May and June, we’ll be accepting donations at the community on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association to support research, caregivers and those affected by Alzheimer’s. To join the fight, purchase goodies at the bake sale, donate at the community when visiting our residents, or donate online at the link below.

We look forward to seeing you on June 21 to buy your favorite baked goods!

Cooking Cooking Class

Residents in Blossom Trail participated in a cooking class on 9-10-18. As the picture shows, they enjoyed having hands on in making a Banana Pudding for the morning activity.

Veterans Raised New Flag

On September the 8th our Resident Veterans came together to raise the new flag.
They saluted the flag and sang "God Bless America".

Dog Days of Summerf Event

This event was a great success. We all enjoyed the visit from our furry friends. The dogs loved their frosty treats and bones given to them by the residents.

4th of July Celebration

This front porch party was a big success. Residents enjoyed a patriotic sing-along, some sparklers and watermelon. It was a warm day so everyone stayed hydrated and enjoyed rocket pops.

Summer Celebration

Our summer celebration was a big hit. It brought out the children in all of us. Residents enjoyed blowing bubbles, flag twirling, watermelon and popsicles.
